The Wedding and Foster Home for Lost Missionaries

Hallo!! How is everybody?? This week was GREAT!

Karly & Ever's Wedding

So last Saturday night my cousin (and bestie) got married!!! I was SO excited that I would be able to see her on her big day. My teacher was a complete saint and let me leave class a little early to be part of the reception! In the middle of dancing at the reception someone asked me if I was allowed to dance as a missionary. I didn't know...so I just kept dancing haha. Apparently it's frowned upon (whoops) but that's okay!! Now I know haha!! I love how throughout the MTC I've been learning more and more rules I didn't know about yet. BUT anyways, I am so grateful it worked out for me to be a part of Karly and Ever's wedding. I absolutely love her and he is so perfect for her. Karly has been one of my greatest role models for most of my life. She has taught me how to laugh at everything no matter how embarrassing it is. She taught me how to be an amazing CNA and overall a good worker. She taught me true compassion and selflessness. I am so excited for Ever to experience the same Karly I have and for them to create their own crazy memories together. Love you guys!

Sister Gilmour's Foster Home for Lost Missionaries

I stayed at Sister Gilmour's...again haha. We had a spontaneous sleep over (don't worry, I didn't cut my hair this time) last weekend before Karly's wedding so I could make it to the luncheon between classes. I'm so grateful for Sister Gilmour and her family and the welcoming personality they have. We're both so sad that we're only companions for 6 more days ): but it's okay, we're excited to learn other things from our trainers and to actually get out there and be doing the real work. Also we're VERY excited to not be learning german online anymore. It's really not fun haha. But we're doing a lot better at german so that's good!! We taught a 30 MINUTE LESSON ALL AUF DEUTSCH. It was soooooo encouraging.

Packing...??

So...I've never been a missionary before so all of you return sister missionaries PLEASE tell me what to pack. I legitimately do not know how to pack for this. So please message me and let me know what you wish you had/what you're glad you had/what you wish you hadn't packed. Muchas gracias. (I'm trilingual)

Weekly Spiritual Dose

Okay so basically everything that President Nelson ever said is a MUST read for everybody. Through the MTC I've been listening to all of his talks in chronological order and WOW he's such an amazing speaker. My favorite one from this week was "Spiritual Treasures" in October 2019. I would love to share with each of you what I felt while I read this, but I want you guys to read it and not my summary of it. I want you guys to feel what you feel and not read what I felt. Don't feel like you have to, but it is a great talk by a great guy. There is not one single doubt in my mind that he is the prophet of God in our day. He does receive modern revelation from God. He literally speaks to us with the words of God. Listen to him, he will guide you.

I love you all so much!! Have a great week!
