Smoke Weed Everydayyyy

Okay we're not the ones smoking weed #WordOfWisdom but our downstairs neighbors smoke it literally every single day. We were gonna put a word of wisdom pamphlet under their door but we're not completely sure which neighbor it is sooo we didn't do that.

Anyways HOW ARE Y'ALL? Anything exciting happen this week?? Please please please tell me what's happening in your lives cause we're in quarantine and boreeddddd haha.

Corona

So last Saturday one of my companions got tested for Covid but we were all pretty confident she didn't have it, but then we got a call last Wednesday aaaannnnd it was positive. So our whole zone is in quarantine until the 17th (5 more days!!) And we've been in quarantine since the 3rd. So basically we're pro quarantiners and getting really good at making Facebook finding interesting haha. But honestly besides being bored, we've really found ways to make it fun! Now that we've been stuck in a house together I'm super sad to see the other Sisters go! They are both so amazing and Sister Bennion bakes the yummiest stuff (the real reason I'll miss them...jk). They are totally going to kill it in their next area!! Anyways so we all got tested last week and all of us are negative except Sister Bennion...not sure how but I'm glad our quarantine doesn't get extended haha. But there was a split second that Sister Lotu was the only one not showing symptoms so we gave her a quarantine box (I'll attach a picture) and if you ask me it's pretty awesome. Also a lot of people have been asking if we're good on food and um we have way to much of it haha. Our members in this ward are so amazing and have been delivering meals for us. I took a picture of the cutest delivery we've gotten yet so I hope you guys enjoy that.

Quarantine Fun

So to make the days not drag on, we've been doing some crazy things haha. First of all we had the idea to write and hide notes for the next missionaries who live here. There's 5 notes and the last one says that the 5th note is in the kitchen but there's no 5th note 😂 I'll attach the pictures of the notes cause they're freaking hilarious. We also decorated for Halloween to pass the time and I'll send a picture of that too. My favorite thing to pass the time is going on drives. We're allowed to go on walks (so we check the mail literally every single day) and drives as long as other people aren't involved. You should see how quick we dodge people when they come walking towards us...not exactly the missionary way but #corona. Anyways so we go on drives every night and listen to talks or role play as part of our additional study. Well one night we were trying to find a good look out spot to watch the sunset as we listened to a talk but we could not find a good one. So we drove around and all of a sudden we're in this like...sketchy mini forest thing and THERE'S A PRISON RIGHT NEXT TO US. You should have seen how fast we turned around and drove away it was hilarious. We did finally find a spot! The sun was already down but that's okay 😂

Teaching!!

So Sister Lotu and I really got on that grind this week. We set some great goals and it totally turned around our Facebook finding experience. My family had some questions about what Facebook finding is so here's a little run down:

1. You find a Facebook group about literally anything

2. Join the group

3. Stalk everybody involved in the group

4. Message all of the nonmembers

5. Pray they answer

So yeah basically we just stalk people and message them about anything related to the group we're in. BUT we both messaged 20+ people this week and got a ton of responses! We had 3 lessons this last week that didn't fall through, and like...7 that fell through lol. But this next week we've got a couple Bible studies and follow-ups from this week's lessons!

Sergio

So Sergio is one of our investigators and WOW he is so ready for the gospel. Every time we teach him he just soaks it up. He's literally the funniest guy in the world. He basically just roasts us the whole time but in a friendly way haha. But we taught him The Gospel of Jesus Christ this week and he was so excited about everything in the lesson! We would finish with one point and he'd be all "what's next??" And he asks a lot of questions which is great! It definitely helps is to know what he needs to learn. But seriously you guys...he has so much love for God and Jesus Christ that it's just radiating from him. His dad had a stroke earlier this year and he's relearning how to talk and how to basically just live again. Sergio's example of turning to Christ with all our triumphs, victories, fears, worries, losses, and everything else is amazing. He has complete faith that he will receive an answer and that God will help him every single time he asks for help. It's definitely put my own faith into perspective. He is just so amazing. BUT he has a hard time keeping our commitments because his wife doesn't know he's been talking to us haha 😅 He's currently working on convincing her that coming to church is something good so everyone keep her in your prayers!!

Y'all.

Okay...in my last email I said y'all like a million times and no one told me I was spelling it wrong. So offended that nobody here has my back (;

Exciting Things - Quarantine Edition

Since everything is confined to our house or our car, things that aren't exciting tend to be really exciting for us. So our car died and we had to jump that. I know, SUPER exciting. Our antifreeze was also COMPLETELY dry so shout out to my dad for teaching me a little bit about cars haha love you dad. Another exciting thing in our day is going to check the mail but then it's suddenly not exciting when there's nothing in there. Ahem...#WriteUs. We rewrote the lyrics of a song to make it church-related so stay tuned for that video next week! It might be on Facebook before then but it'll be on here eventually. Something else exciting is when we went to this super sketchy run-down park to play pickleball where no one else would be...like it legit looks like a place from the walking dead. And then there were all of these elderly people on their morning walks just like...watching us play pickleball. Honestly, it was super scary but we just had to get our pickleball fix in (;

Weekly Spiritual Dose

You guys. The Book of Mormon is amazing. I don't have enough hours in the day to read it. I cannot even express how much I believe in this book. It is AMAZING. It's so good everyone but once you've read it all the way through a couple times you start to pick up on a lot more. It is flippin great. I hope each of you have the chance to read it and take that opportunity. I encourage all of you to pray before and after you read (even in family readings). I've found that when I do this, I keep what I've learned in my head a lot longer. If you haven't read the Book of Mormon, I encourage you to find one and read it. If you don't know what it is then read the introduction (and call the missionaries). One thing I've found to be huge when teaching people of the Book of Mormon is prayer. If something in this book confuses you, pray. Don't google it. Pray about it. If anything ever in this whole entire world troubles or confuses you, ask the Almighty God who knows everything. He will GLADLY answer your questions. Anyways, that's it. Just read the book (:

I will talk to you all next week!! Have a great week!
